Vaccination is Naturopathic Medicine. In pediatric Naturopathic primary care practice, discussion, recommendation, and administration of vaccines is an integral component to a pediatric wellness visit and standard of care. Protecting all vulnerable populations, many of whom are pediatric patients, is an important contribution of community immunity at large. In this talk we will discuss foundational immunology in regards to vaccination, community immunity, vaccine handling in the clinic setting, and the CDC schedule and pediatric vaccination changes for 2021. This talk will also provide several vaccine resources for Naturopathic Physicians seeing pediatric patients and their families in office.
