This presentation will discuss antibiotics and antifungals for the treatment of acute and chronic sinus infections. Acute sinusitis can often be addressed by both holistic and medication driven therapies that often include antibacterial agents. Chronic sinusitis, in which the pathogens can include both bacterial and fungal species, can develop in some patients over time. We will look at both oral, systemic treatments of sinusitis infections, as well as nasally administered treatments for a more topical approach. Through this discussion we will review several antibiotic and antifungal therapeutic classes.
