Over the last couple of years, there have been some important publications in the field of gastroenterology that you might have missed! In 2021, the ACG published a massive overhaul of their IBS Management Guidelines, and in 2020 we (finally!) got some SIBO Management Guidelines from the same organization. You’re excused if you may have missed these; there has been a global pandemic to attend to after all. In this lecture, we will review the major updates and recommendations, discuss implications for clinical practice, and ensure that you can communicate clearly and concisely, with patients and fellow providers, when and why you may deviate from these guidelines.
