Description

According to the NIH, 95,000 people (approximately 68,000 men and 27,000 women) die from alcohol-related causes annually, making alcohol the third-leading preventable cause of death in the United States. In addition, a number of studies have indicated increased alcohol sales and consumption during the COVID-19 pandemic, attributable to causes such as stress, boredom, and increased availability of alcohol. The repercussions of increased alcohol misuse and dependence may continue for years after the pandemic. Naturopathic medicine excels at helping to identify unhealthy lifestle habits and offer healthier options. We have huge potential in helping peoples quality of life as they emerge from the pandemic and having clear guidelines to help these patients.
