Description
This first talk in our Psychedelics mini-series will present an overview of the history, pharmacology, and protocol of various psychedelic medicines. Further discussion will be given to compare and contrast the philosophy and compatibility of integrative medicine and psychedelic therapies.
Speaker Bio: After completing his doctoral degree in naturopathic medicine and a master of science degree in integrative medical research, Dr. Hicks completed an integrative mental health residency. He has acquired additional training in mental health therapies including a certificate in psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He is the host of the podcast Integrative Psychiatry Review and founder of Synaptic Integrative Care and Training Institute where he offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and training in psychedelic medicine.
