Description

What is the value of nature exposure in psychedelic therapy? What about sharing experiences in a group verses the one-on-one model used in most clinical trials? Drawing from the available research and his experience in the work in both models, Dr. Hicks will cover the benefits and risks of doing psychedelic therapy in groups and/or in natural settings.

Dr. Matthew Hicks is a naturopathic physician in Portland, Oregon. He draws from years of study in the field of psychedelic medicine including training with the Zendo Project for harm reduction, MAPS for MDMA therapy, the California Institute of Integral Studies certificate in psychedelic therapies and research, and Polaris Insight Center's ketamine trainings. He is a frequent speaker and trainer in the field and practices ketamine-assisted therapy in his practice, Synaptic Integrative Care and Training Institute.
