Just like for kids, vaccine recommendations evolve for older adults too. Common cancer and health screenings have nuance depending on age as well, like when should we really stop and start screening for not only cancer, but dementia and bone density. This talk covers all of the current vaccine and screening recommendations for elders with key tips to help you better understand who is most vulnerable and may benefit most. We will discuss the different options available for RSV, flu and COVID and how to help patients make more informed decisions. We will also discuss vaccine hesitancy, ideal timing for maximal benefit (hint – circadian rhythm!), and changes in vaccine options that may help improve patient interest.
