Abstract: The data around biofilms as part of human health and disease has expanded in the past decade. In this presentation Dr. Paul Anderson relates the updated research to modern clinical practice in managing biofilms in patient care. The focus is on patient presentations, biofilm "strata", and treatment pearls.
Presenter Bio: Dr. Paul Anderson is a recognized educator and clinician in integrative and naturopathic medicine with a focus on complex chronic illness and cancer. In addition to his three decades of clinical experience, he served as the head of the interventional arm of a U.S. National Institutes of Health-funded human research trial using intravenous and integrative therapies in cancer patients.
Dr. Anderson founded Advanced Medical Therapies in Seattle, Washington - a clinic focusing on cancer and chronic diseases - and now focuses his time in collaboration with clinics and hospitals in the United States and other countries.
His former positions include multiple medical school posts, Professor of Pharmacology and Clinical Medicine at Bastyr University, and Chief of IV Services for Bastyr Integrative Oncology Research Center. Dr. Anderson is co-author with Dr. Mark Stengler of Outside the Box Cancer Therapies (Hay House) and author of Cancer… The Journey from Diagnosis to Empowerment (Lioncrest Publishing). He also co-authored the IV textbook A Scientific Reference for Intravenous Nutrient Therapy with Drs. Osborne and Carter.
