Dr. Alisha Ghajar firmly believes anyone can improve their health, at any time in life. Her approach always meets patients where they are at, in a collaborative manner with their goals in mind.
Dr. Ghajar’s journey to naturopathic medicine began with an interest in nutrition, after growing up in Texas where several family members succumbed to obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, yet failed to improve with standard medical care. She wanted to help people live healthier lives through diet and lifestyle changes; a goal that moved her to Fort Collins, Colorado. Here she completed a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Nutrition at Colorado State University. Soon after, Dr. Ghajar learned about naturopathic medicine, and was excited to provide more support to her patients, with a bigger toolbox, moving her once more across the country to attend Bastyr University in Kenmore, Washington.
Her specialties include preventative medicine, gastrointestinal health, and metabolic conditions. Her treatment interests include, but are not limited to, IBS, IBD, SIBO, diabetes, cardiovascular disease and environmental illnesses such as heavy metal toxicity and mold exposure.
Dr. Ghajar leans heavily on her advanced nutrition training and lifestyle coaching background to help her patients reach their personal goals, as well as nutrient injections, botanical medicine, and targeted neutraceuticals.
When she is not treating patients, Dr. Ghajar can be found hiking, running, weight lifting and biking. She is also an avid cook with her husband, and is always planning their next travel adventure.
