Another CONNECT continuing education conference weekend is in the books!

PAC FundraisingOur attendees were some of the most engaged ever and they showed up in a significant way - both in our presentation chats AND in our PAC fundraising effort! In fact, we more than doubled our $5,000 fundraising goal and smashed all prior conference fundraising efforts to bring in $11,040 to advance our legislative efforts. We were only able to achieve this incredible feat through the support and generosity of so many attendees and of course we would be remiss not to express extreme gratitude to Dr. Sage Wheeler for offering to MATCH every penny raised above our $5,000 goal. Thank you thank you thank you to all who contributed over our conference weekend!

Awards GalaWe also had the pleasure of hosting our community at the extremely fun and unique Emerald City Trapeze Arts and the honor of celebrating some incredible leaders within our community. In case you missed it, the WANP Board of Directors presented the following awards at our 2022 Gala event and Awards Ceremony:

  • Dr. Hannah Gordon was named the 2022 Rising Star.
  • Dr. Amy Hobson was named the 2022 Unsung Hero.
  • Dr. Kara Menzer received the 2022 President's Award.
  • Ms. Susan Gragg was named the 2022 Friend of Naturopathic Medicine.
  • Dr. Michelle Simon was named the 2022 Champion of Naturopathic Medicine.

Thank you to all of our recipients for your work on behalf of our profession. We have such appreciation and gratitude to all of you movers and shakers!

Annual Member MeetingAs per usual, the Board of Directors hosted our annual member meeting on Sunday morning to provide updates from 2022 and goals for 2023. Of particular note, members will soon receive results from the 2022 Member Survey AND they will receive a voting ballot to approve changes to the WANP's organizational bylaws.

WANP's member engagement is stronger than ever, with unprecedented numbers of members at large on our committees. The Board also continues to take its financial responsibilities very seriously, leaving the Association in strong financial position despite the struggles and unknowns of these last couple of years.

CONNECT 2023Finally, we announced a major change based on member and attendee feedback: CONNECT 2023 is moving! We are moving from fall to spring conferences, and our CONNECT 2023 conference is scheduled for May 4-7, 2023. We will be hosting two of those days completely virtually and two of those days completely in person at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA. Our Call for Speakers is officially open and tickets go on sale on January 1!
