This presentation explores the critical role of interoceptive awareness in children and its impact on emotional adaptability and resilience. Interoception, the ability to sense internal bodily states, is foundational for emotional regulation and overall health. By fostering this awareness, healthcare practitioners can equip children with tools to navigate emotional challenges and build resilience, leading to improved lifelong well-being.
This presentation will provide a comprehensive overview of the current research on interoception and its implications for pediatric care. It outlines practical approaches, evidence-led interventions, and interactive activities that can be seamlessly integrated into clinical settings. By creating an environment that encourages children to connect with their bodily sensations and feelings, practitioners can significantly enhance their emotional intelligence, leading to better health outcomes throughout the lifespan.
Ultimately, integrating interoceptive practices into pediatric care, emphasizing the importance of parental involvement in fostering emotional adaptability, thereby supporting children's holistic development and long-term well-being.
