As we age, maintaining musculoskeletal health is crucial for preserving mobility, independence, and overall quality of life. This presentation will explore strategies for optimizing the health of our joints and soft tissues.
Dr. Romero is a licensed physician with an emphasis in regenerative medicine, sports medicine, hormone management, and anti-aging medicine. She is the owner and Chief Medical Officer of Longevity Medicine & Sports Therapy in Chandler, Arizona. Dr. Romero is an expert in regenerative joint injections for pain, such as Perineural Injection Therapy, Trigger Point Injections, Prolotherapy, Platelet-Rich Plasma, A2M Plasma Protein Concentrate, and Autologous Growth Factors.
She received her medical degree from Sonoran University of Health Sciences (formerly Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences) in Tempe, Arizona. She completed a first year residency in general medicine at Keystone Natural Family Medicine in Mesa, Arizona. Dr. Romero was awarded Best In Arizona Magazine Top Doctor 2024. Dr. Romero has completed advanced education with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) and holds certifications in Peptide Therapy and Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. She is also a Certified EvexiPel Provider for hormone pellet therapy through EVEXIAS Health Solutions. Additionally, Dr. Romero is a supervising physician for medical students completing their clinical rotations, field observation, and preceptorship programs.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness and Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion from Arizona State University. As a medical student, she co-founded the SCNM Sports Medicine club, which offers volunteer opportunities for medical students to provide naturopathic and sports medicine services to the athletic community. Additionally, Dr. Romero is a Certified Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine, and a Certified Health Education Specialist by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, and Certified Kinesio Taping® Practitioner by Kinesio Taping® Association International.
