Modern medical science is delving into the myriad systems involved in maximizing our longevity. Current research renders fascinating insights into the minute details of homeostatic and regenerative processes down to a cellular, and even a molecular level. Nevertheless, as our knowledge expands into the future, our path towards healthy aging is imbedded in traditional wisdom from the past.
Familiar concepts to older naturopathic physicians are resurfacing as new discoveries. Research is redefining, but also validating strategies such as cleansing (liver support), fasting, and dietary interventions in support of healthy intestinal flora.
Naturopathic principles have much to offer in the realm of cognitive and metabolic resilience, and modern research enhances our understanding of the regulatory factors in cellular and systemic homeostasis. By building on these foundations, we can provide our patients with impactful strategies to prevent or reverse the cascade of inflammatory events leading towards systemic metabolic disorders, and in particular their neurological consequences.

Dr. Mobeen Syed has been sharing his knowledge of functional medicine and his detailed reviews of bio physiology with medical doctors for the past several years, providing CME accredited continuing education to hundreds of physicians through Dr.Beene.com. He has also shared his expertise with thousand of viewers through his YouTube platform, garnering a significant following for his well reasoned, sage reviews of current literature and recommendations. He is a medical doctor trained in Pakistan, where he completed his residency and practiced before moving to the United States. He is currently serving as visiting faculty in King Edward Medical University He is a frequent guest speaker, and has generously shared his time with myself, and several other providers and interested patrons over the past several years through weekly discussions of current research. He has a unique style of teaching, literally illustrating his points in a manner that delves deep, but retains clarity. Dr. Syed has two adult children, a superstar wife, and two adorable fur babies who make guest appearances in some of his videos.
