The WANP Board of Directors has spent the better part of this past year developing a 5-year strategic plan to help guide the organization and the Board in moving the organization and the profession forward. As part of this process, the Board updated the WANP's Mission, Vision, and Purpose to better reflect the current direction and priorities.
Today, the newly elected Board spent the day together in retreat, getting to know each other and taking time to review and affirm the strategic plan and the new public-facing statements describing our organization.

The WANP is the leading voice and prime advocate for naturopathic physicians in Washington State.
Our Vision:
A world where naturopathic physicians thrive and patients have choice and access to high quality naturopathic medical care.Our Purpose:
The Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians (WANP) represents the interests of its member naturopathic physicians in the State of Washington through legislative and political advocacy and public communications. It serves the profession and the community through effective leadership and commitment to excellence in health education and health care services.Our Work:
Our current work is guided by 4 goals defined in our 2024-2029 Strategic Plan:
- Expand and protect access to Naturopathic medical care through legislative action and other advocacy work.
- Foster a robust and sustainable revenue model for WANP.
- Strengthen and support WANP governance by defining board structure.
- Educate on and increase understanding of the benefits and opportunities within naturopathic medicine across Washington State.
In addition to the above, the WANP continues to support our members and honor our mission through the following program offerings:
Continuing Education: The WANP offers continuing education seminars and conferences for naturopathic physicians and other health care professionals.
Member Benefits: The WANP works diligently to develop and provide useful benefits for our membership, emphasizing cost savings, clinical tools, and business and financial resources.
Naturopathic Physician Referrals: The WANP serves Washington residents by providing referrals to qualified member physicians.
Public Outreach: The WANP is dedicated to educating Washington residents on the benefits of naturopathic medicine and facilitating access to NDs throughout the state.
Collaboration: The WANP works with businesses, healthcare and educational institutions, and other organizations to further the health and well-being of Washington residents.
