Gender Affirming Healthcare (GAHC) is essential for primary care. Many gender diverse patients have difficulty accessing quality and informed care, which can lead to these patients feeling dismissed or forgoing healthcare altogether to avoid trauma. All healthcare providers need a basic understanding of GAHC. In this presentation, Dr. Jill Corey (they/them) will provide information on how to make your practice more gender inclusive, how to provide basic gender affirming hormone therapy, and how to provide surgical referral letters for gender affirming surgeries - as well as provide a basic knowledge of gender affirming surgeries.
