Dr. Wahls will discuss her own remarkable healing journey, from severe disability to biking to work. She will review the ground-breaking research she conducts testing the effect of dietary and lifestyle interventions to reduce and reverse multiple sclerosis related symptoms, neuroinflammation and autoimmune processes. Facilitators and barriers to patient success will be discussed. General recommendations for patient care will be provided. Strategies to increase internal motivation to improve health behaviors.
Dr. Terry Wahls is an Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner and conducts clinical trials in the setting of Multiple Sclerosis. In 2018 she was awarded the Institute for Functional Medicine’s Linus Pauling Award for her contributions in research, clinical care, and patient advocacy.
