PASC (Post-acute sequelae of SARS-CoV-2) is here on our radar and with the evolving nature of how to effectively treat the lingering effects of the novel coronavirus that drastically influenced the awareness of post viral syndromes. While post viral conditions had often been challenged in traditional healthcare settings, primary care physicians are in a unique position to consider several leading areas of clinical investigation based on research including viral persistence, Immune dysregulation, herpesvirus reactivation, dysbiosis, microvascular dysfunction, and autoimmunity. This overview will update latest understandings of evaluation, and latest research on treatment interventions.

Dr. Andrew Simon is co-founder of Rebel Med NW in Seattle, along with his wife Dr. Phonexay Lala Simon, LAc. Rebel Med NW is a mind-body medicine focused primary care clinic, where Dr. Simon and his team at Rebel Med NW have developed a mental health focused primary care clinic in the heart of Ballard, winning Seattle Met Top Doctor for the last 7 years running. Having provided Covid-19 Vaccines, testing & treatment options, Dr. Simon was nominated to join the Power of Providers Group, as a Naturopathic representative to the Department of Health where he regularly converses with others of the allied health field regarding the recent covid pandemic, and other public health concerns that affect all providers of WA state.
