We were thrilled to bring together representatives from Bastyr University's School of Naturopathic Medicine, practicing naturopathic physicians, and naturopathic medical students to encourage more of our doctors to become preceptors for current students. We were incredibly honored to host Dr. Kristina Conner, Dean of the School of Naturopathic Medicine, and Jennifer Moral, Preceptorship Coordinator at Bastyr University; practicing doctors and WANP members (and incredibly popular preceptors) Lela Altman and Andrew Simon; and current students and WANP student members Annelise Hablutzel and and Ryann McInturf as each shared information and perspective on the value of the preceptorship experience.
Our goal was to remove any barriers to participation in the preceptorship program by explaining how to get involved, discussing expectations, and offering strategies to utilize student precepts to help improve efficiency and therefore increase income into your clinics.
