Volunteer Registration for the 2023 Seattle/King County Clinic officially opens today and the WANP Board of Directors is thrilled to help recruit our members to participate in this incredible opportunity - returning to Seattle Center for the first time since 2019!
"Seattle/King County Clinic brings together healthcare organizations, civic agencies, non-profits, private businesses, and volunteers from across the State of Washington to produce a giant free health clinic at Seattle Center. The four-day volunteer-driven clinic provides free dental, vision, and medical care to anyone in the region who struggles to access and/or afford healthcare."
This year, organizers have reserved 2 volunteer medical positions per day specifically for naturopathic primary care physicians - knowing how much patients value the option to access naturopathic medical care. While the number of spots reserved for our community is quite small, licensed naturopathic physicians can also sign up for other medical positions if desired. There is also a need for non-medical volunteers to help set up, tear down, direct patients and volunteers, and provide general administrative support (attention current medical students!).
When you register as a volunteer (directly through SKCC), please follow up with an email to info@wanp.org to let us know you're participating! We're still working out the details but we hope to set up a daily meeting spot for our doctors and community to say hi, check in, and cheer each other on.
