With a growing number of individuals suffering from chronic illnesses, there is a high demand for making sure homes are not inhibiting a patient's ability to heal by continuously exposing the patient to certain indoor pathogens. This presentation, the last in our Mold and Mycotoxin mini-series, is intended to help medical practitioners understand how to advise their patients on best practices when mold, mycotoxins, and other indoor contaminants are a concern.
Speaker Bio: Brian Karr is a second generation indoor environmental consultant who specializes in working with hypersensitive individuals with complex medical conditions, helping them to understand if mold, mycotoxins, or other indoor pathogens exist in their homes that may be contributing to their health conditions, and how to remedy those issues. Brian has become a go-to mold & biotoxin resource for many medical practitioners across the country, and has helped over 3,000 hypersensitive individuals create healthier living environments that have allowed their doctors to help them get better. Brian is the co-founder of We Inspect, an indoor environmental assessment company specializing in mold & biotoxin detection and management for hypersensitive individuals. He is also the creator of Mold Masterclass (www.moldmasterclass.com), a digital training program developed for hypersensitive individuals, providing all the information they need to help understand and reduce mold and mycotoxin exposure within their homes, so they can begin to feel like themselves again. Lastly, Brian is the Vice President of The Mold Guy, Inc., a company founded by Mark Levy and dedicated to the detection and prevention of microbial contaminants within the indoor environment for over 15 years.
Brian is a Certified Microbial Investigator (CMI) accredited through the American Council for Accredited Certifications, North America's oldest and most prestigious certifying body dedicated to indoor air quality. He is an expert at identifying indicators of mold growth and strategically sampling, validating, and developing remedial strategies for mold growth and biotoxin production in all areas of a home or building including walls, floors, ceilings, crawl spaces, basements, attics, and HVAC systems. He also attends multiple international medical conferences and workshops every year that focus on how the environment impacts human health, specifically for individuals with biotoxin or environmentally acquired illness, to better serve his clients. A few examples of these include conferences and workshops organized by the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS), Forum for Integrative Medicine (FIM), Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), and Environmental Health Symposium (EHS). Brian has also contributed to several informational articles published by the Indoor Air Quality Association as a member of its Education Subcommittee.

Corey is also licensed as a Florida Mold Assessor and New York Mold Assessor. Additionally, he is a WELL Accredited Professional, the WELL Building Standard is the premier standard for buildings, interior spaces, and communities that support and advance human health and wellness. Corey is an expert at identifying indoor pathogens and strategically sampling, validating, and developing remedial strategies all areas of a home or building. As a WELL Accredited Professional, Corey utilizes extensive experience from the IAQ industry to help home and building owners design new and existing properties with a focus on health and wellness. Corey has performed over 2,000 mold specific investigations in the decade he has been in the industry. More than 80% of Corey’s clients are individuals with hypersensitive health issues, including but not limited to Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS), Lyme disease and other co-infections, autoimmune disease, and multiple chemical sensitivity.
